This Week's Review: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory A great family movie. The newer version is more true to the book, Roald Dahl would be proud. Though Wonka has some issues, if you wanted to cheat on a book report, you should use this version v.s. the old one. They took out the creepy tunnel scene, making it more family-oreinted. Johny Depp is the perfect kid-like figure to play Wonka. Ebert and Roper said: 2 thumbs up (Four stars from me) CIAO!!!!
